Course Information

This course aims to offer participants a comprehensive understanding on the mechanism of reaching a slam through a judicious bidding sequence, with a specific emphasis on managing distributional hands in trump contracts.

Contents include the application, development, and associated considerations of Splinter bids, with a particular focus on utilizing the powerful analytical tool known as the Rule of 30.

Throughout the program, participants will engage in a detailed exploration of the principles, supported by diverse case studies, to acquire the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to excel in the topic covered.

Target Participants

This course is tailored for players with a foundational understanding of cue-bids, Blackwoods, and Splinters in the context of slam bidding sequences.

Language

This course will be conducted in Cantonese with visual materials written in English.

Non-HKCBA members:

$980 per person, $580 per full-time student and elderly who is 65 or above

HKCBA members:

$780 per person, $380 per full-time student and elderly who is 65 or above

One-time Promotion: early registration (on or before 29 February) enjoys extra 10% discount.

Partnerships can register for the event through the pre-registration system on HKCBA website. 

For interested junior players who does not have a partner, they can register through the following: (https://forms.gle/u3yWRmoy5G25xzvC9). The Youth Committee will match them up with a master player.

For interested master players who does not have a partner, please contact Sam Tseng at 6053 7090. The Youth Committee will try to match them up with a junior player.

The event will be scored in MP pairs scoring.

The youth player who accumulates the most ranking points over the 5 events will be the declared winner.

Players can play with different partners throughout the event.
